In order to meet the dual challenges of a constantly changing and constantly growing field, Quest has organised itself along two overlapping and highly supportive lines:

Services, which include our three core client offerings:

  1. Consulting, which delivers expertise and information to clients on a short- or long-term basis.
  2. Project Management, which delivers top-level managed solutions in the areas of systems analysis, deployment, or migration.
  3. Training, which delivers both the full range of Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) courses, as well as custom-tailored presentations and seminars.

Knowledge, which includes our continuously-evolving areas of expertise:

  1. Windows, which includes advanced expertise with all Microsoft client and server operating platforms.  Delivers knowledge around automated installation, Active Directory design, metadirectory services, server clustering & load balancing, terminal services, and all other built-in Windows technologies.  Also addresses Windows add-on technologies, from companies such as Citrix.
  2. Database, which focuses entirely on cutting-edge SQL Server solution – including installation, security, database design, and virtual server clustering for high-availability solutions.
  3. Collaboration, devoted to the most advanced aspects of Microsoft Exchange messaging and conferencing, as well as other collaboration technologies such as SharePoint Portal and Team Services.
  4. Security, which delivers the latest knowledge on Windows-related network security, including areas such as DMZ design, IPsec, public key infrastructure (PKI) solutions, firewall configuration, and network management strategies.
  5. Management, which tracks the latest TCO-reducing technologies and products, including SMS, MOM, AC2K, SUS/WUS -- as well as a host of third party products from respected vendors such as Cisco, HP, and NetIQ.
  6. Networking, which includes all areas of internetworking -- especially Cisco network device configuration, LAN/WAN network architecture, remote access solutions, and VPN strategies.

We are constantly combining, dissolving, and creating new knowledge areas, as technology (and the needs of our clients!) change.  This "flexible matrix structure" allows the highest level of knowledge acquisition, maintenance and transfer across the entire Quest organisation, and further insures that all of our expertise is timely and appropriate.  This goal is supported by our aggressive policy of internal education, as well as the fact that all Quest technical staff members participate in both Service and Knowledge . . . so everyone helps to close the loop between theory and practice!
